Smartphones offer a range of applications to support wood working professionals in their day-to-day work. However, the individual functions are normally spread across a variety of apps. Finding these has previously been time-consuming and, when the individual changes to a new smartphone, everything is lost.

The solution could only be to combine all essential functions in a single app. WEINIG has done just that. The new WEINIG Service App offers a number of intelligent functions and has developed these further. For the WEINIG customer, the suite of functions also offers the benefit that he is perfectly connected to the WEINIG world and all of its services.

The app's multiple uses offer a decisive advantage over others on the market. "Working efficiently with our customers is of the utmost priority for us," says Jochen Ganz, Director of WEINIG Service. The new
WEINIG Service App combines the ideas and experiences of all WEINIG services worldwide. The result speaks for itself. The WEINIG Service App user can find functions for angle calculations, residual length calculations for edge gluing and a cuttermark calculator. A highlight is the tagging and commenting on photos and videos. "It is a must download," advises Jochen Ganz. "The function is unprecedented on a smartphone." It allows information to be substantiated and used as guidance for colleagues or WEINIG Service.

"In the service area, our app suite also offers helpful functions," says Jochen Ganz. After downloading the app for free from iTunes or Google Play Store, customers can register it with WEINIG. This allows the customer to see his entire WEINIG machine fleet at the tap of a finger. Another tap on the phone and he can be taken straight to his requested contact partner. It is just as easy to access the "Machine monitor", where customers can see extensive information about the readiness for operation of their machinery. This means wood working professionals can always be in the picture, even when they are out of the factory. Besides an overview of current daily performance, the customer can also see maintenance information and stay informed by SMS or e-mail.
